The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic is the central state administration body of the Slovak Republic for state statistics and has been operating as an independent institution since 1 January 1993, the date of the establishment of the independent Slovak Republic.

Challenge

Develop data processing project for the Census 2011 in the Slovak Republic.

Solution

As one of the main subcontractors of IBM Czech Republic s.r.o., we designed three forms in five languages (Slovak, Hungarian, Romani, Ukrainian and Ruthenian) for this project. The scanning of approximately 9 million forms was carried out on five Kodak Alaris high-speed document scanners. Data recognition and validation was performed in eFlow.

Benefits

As a result of our mutual cooperation, the files were intended for further processing by specialist departments of the SR.
